FOR BUYING A TOP QUALITY
MINIATURE THERAPY HORSE
The biggest complaint I hear from people when buying a mini horse for therapy is that the horses height matured at a much taller number than was anticipated when originally bought.
They also remark that they paid a large sum of money and the mini is barly halter broke.
Many Therapy horses are being sold as babies from 3 to 5 months . Taken off their Momma Only to die weeks later.
This is a horrid practice. Do not buy a mini under 5/6 months old and do not ship a mini under 8 months that is alone.
Some not even halter broke, bought as therapy horses. Frightened and lonely and missing their momma terribly. Some full of worms and bots.
This is becoming common place and we do not want to see these farms turning out baby horses like puppy mills, which is exactly what's happening.
Ranches claim their horses are the best, their training is the best, they are number #1. They are the original.
We will not ship a baby.
What you need to look for.
Always ask for lots and lots of references, phones numbers, talk to the buyers. Not 1 or 2 but several. And remember a baby mini in a hospital all dressed up at the age of 5 and 6 months is not trained. It is just mostly frightened. So please be kind and let these babies grow up before putting them to work.
